It's Tuesday May 8th and the first FD Trisport social ride is tonight!! Leaves FD Senior High parking lot at 5:30, heading toward Badger & back. Recovery at Lefties following.

The 2011 FD Trisport Turkey Trot was a great success with 200 people and 10 dogs showing up to put in a 3 or 5 mile run or walk on Thanksgiving morning. A car full of food donations was taken to the Salvation Army. Pics posted on Fort Dodge Trisport's face book page.
2011 Emmetsburg Triathlon
June 25th was the Emmetsburg Sprint Triathlon.
This Wednesday, June 29th, FD Trisport is having a social ride/run! Wear your Trisport gear to Snell/Crawford park at 5:30ish P.M. for a team picture session followed by an hour or so of social paced group run or ride and some hydration afterwards. Hope to see you then! If you have ordered team gear it is in at Browns Shoe Fit. If you haven't ordered any, stop in anyway, there are some extras available for purchase.

Safety Village
Fort Dodge Fire Department is
launching a program this summer called Safety Village. Its a week long
camp for kids finishing K and 1st Grade this year. They will learn fire
safety, poison safety, gun safety, internet safety, stranger danger and
more. One of the days we have State Trooper Pam there to do a Bike
Rodeo with the kids. They will be asked to bring their own bikes and
Pam said this is the biggest hold up of the event because most kids
don't have their bikes adjusted properly. So I was hoping TriSports
could come out and help adjust kids bikes and helmets so they fit proper
and are ready to go through their training. We would need people from
8:45am till about 11am on Wednesday June 13th. The event is being held
at the Corpus Christi Center here in Fort Dodge. Any and all help would
be greatly appreciated. You would be a wonderful role model to these
kids by showing them biking can be a fun and safe activity that they can
do their whole life. Please let me know if you can help. Email, text

Fort Dodge Trisport
We are excited to announce the
formation of Fort Dodge Trisport. The formation of Fort Dodge Trisport comes
after almost a year of discussion and informal meetings following the
successful organization and completion of the inaugural Fort Dodge YMCA Indoor
Triathlon (2009). The positive feedback
from the participants in the 2009 indoor triathlon, particularly those who had
never participated in a competitive event like the indoor triathlon, was added incentive to form a multisport club/team with a mission of promoting a healthy
lifestyle, camaraderie and positive portrayal of the city of Fort Dodge within
